Friday 11th May

This week we have been keeping an eye on our sunflowers.  Some of them have started to grow already.  We will be sending them home soon, so that you can help to care for them.  You will receive a letter with the sunflower, explaining the competition.

We had a lovely time in Forest School this week. We used our listening skills and we tried to follow instructions carefully.  We collected the items that we were asked to find.  We also enjoyed sharing books in the great outdoors.

This week we have been looking at some Read, Write Inc picture cards with those children who are moving on to big School in September.  If you would like to know more about Read, Write Inc then please look at:

www.ruthmiskin.com/en/parents/

If you have any questions, I will be pleased to arrange a meeting for parents/ carers.

We have enjoyed lots of mark-making this week.  We have written our name on a label for our sunflowers.  Some of us have enjoyed making marks in sand and some of us helped to write labels for our Spring display.

We also enjoyed practising more races for Sports Day.  What a busy week!

Next Week:

  • The School photographer will be in on Tuesday.  He will be taking class photographs for us
  • We will continue to observe our sunflowers.  If you have any information/ photographs/ books at home about growing plants then we would love to see them
  • We will practise more races ready for Sports Day
