Friday 19th October
Thank you so much for taking part in Diwrnod Shwmae on Monday. Everyone looked great in their Welsh clothes and we enjoyed saying 'Shwmae' lots! Many thanks for your kind donations.
This week we have practised lots of counting in our Group Time. We have counted jumps, hops, claps and steps to help us understand that anything can be counted, not just objects. We have been looking at numbers (mainly 0-5) and we have been trying to count objects in a line. You may wish to continue practise your counting at home.
We have continued to think about Autumn. Some of us have used magnifying glasses to look more closely at Autumn objects.
We have had lots of fun playing with our friends!
Some of us enjoyed sharing stories this week and we had a go and talking in different voices! Our afternoon group were amazing at Daddy Bear and Baby Bear voices in the story 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears!'They joined in so well with the story.
Some of our morning group wanted to share the story 'The Billy Goat's Gruff.' We enjoyed making some sounds to go with the story and we practised saying some phrases in different voices. We were very good at making the 'Trip trap' noise and some of us were very scary when we talked like the bad troll! The children were brilliant at re-telling the story. Some chose to draw and some used water colours to paint pictures. They then talked about their pictures and re-told the story. Excellent work!
