Friday 3rd May
Welcome to the Summer Term. We hope you enjoyed the Easter break. Thank you for sending in photographs, it really helped the children to talk about their holidays.
This week, we have talked about Farms, ready for our Farm Trip next week. There is a letter attached below with some further details regarding the trip.
We received a letter from a forgetful farmer this week! He asked us to write a list of jobs that he needs to do on the farm. Some of us drew/ painted/ talked about some farm animals. We also used the iPad to find out a little bit about some of the animals.
We have enjoyed using our Woodwork Area this week. Lots of us have been exploring the use of a hammer and nails with various loose parts. We are already running out of wood! We would be very grateful for any donations of off-cuts of wood and loose parts such as bottle tops and washers.
We have also had lots of fun playing with our friends.
Monday 6th May - Bank Holiday so Nursery will be closed
Wednesday 8th March - Our Nursery trip to the Farm. Further details are attached in an additional letter below.
Over the next few weeks, we will start practising races ready for our Nursery Sports Day. Please ensure that your child comes into Nursery wearing comfortable clothing and footwear that is suitable for running in. We will take every opportunity to go outside and practise, depending on the weather! As the weather is changing so quickly, you may wish to apply sun cream before your child comes into Nursery daily. Please send in a sun hat, clearly labelled with your child's name. We will try our best to ensure that all children have a drink daily, even if they do not choose to come inside for Snack.
Our Sports Day is on Tuesday 11th June and it will take place on the field behind the School. Morning Sports Day will begin at 10:00 am and Afternoon Sports Day will begin at 1:30 pm. Your child will need to come into Nursery at the usual time on this day, already dressed in their sports clothes. We would love to see you there.
