Friday 4th May
This week we have been looking at flowers. Lots of us enjoyed using water colours to paint the flowers. We looked very carefully at the colours and the lines before we started painting. They look beautiful displayed in nursery.
This week we also planted a sunflower seed for a competition. During the Easter holidays, Halses Nurseries in Langstone advertised free seeds for local schools. They had ordered a huge amount for St David's Hospice as a fundraiser but it didn't materialise, so they have offered them to schools instead. Further information about the competiton will be available soon.
We prepared our own fruit cocktails with yoghurt for snack this week. We really enjoyed chopping the fruit and pouring our yoghurt on top. We talked about our favourite fruits.
We had our first Sports Day practise this week on the school field. We had lots of fun! You should already be aware that our Nursery Sports Days are being held on Tuesday 5th June. You are invited to join us on the day to cheer us on! The morning Sports Day will start at 10:30am and the afternoon one at 2:00pm.
We even had time to enjoy playing with our friends. What a busy week we have had!!
