Friday 9th November
This week we have been talking about 'Celebrations'. We watched some fireworks on the board and we talked about firework displays that some of us had seen. Then lots of us made firework pictures, we hope you like them!
We talked about Diwali. We used books, pictures and we watched video clips on the board. Our morning group were very lucky to have some special visitors in to tell us all about celebrating Diwali. Lots of us enjoyed making Rangoli patterns.
We also spent some more time talking about Remembrance and why we wear poppies. We watched a short video clip from CBBC and we talked about how lucky we are. We had a few quiet moments to think about the soldiers and the people that fought for our country.
This week we have also started to talk about our Christmas concert! Most children have now chosen their parts and you should have received a letter today. Please let us know if you have any difficulties sourcing costumes.
- We will be taking part in 'Friendship Week'. We will be talking about what makes a good friend.
- On Friday (16th November) we will be wearing 'spots' for Children in Need. Your child may come in dressed in spotty clothes or anything Pudsey/ Children in Need related. We will be talking about how we can help others. We will have a collection pot in Nursery should you wish to donate.
