Welcome to the Reception/Year 1 Learning Log.
We hope you will find this page a useful point of contact to find out what we have been doing in school over the past week. Please check it every Friday afternoon when it is updated. We will also post other information which may be of use to you.
Friday 18th May
In Maths this week, the Reception have been exploring capacity and the Year 1 children have been creating tally and bar charts to find out their favourite sandwich fillings. We used the information to make sandwiches ready for the tea party.
The children have been making predictions about the changes that happen when chocolate is heated up. On Tuesday, we heated chocolate up in the microwave to see if the predictions were correct.
The children have had a brilliant day at our own 'Royal Wedding' and were really excited for our tea party. They behaved so well walking to and back from the church and listened really well in the church.
Next week, we will be going to Forest School on Friday 25th May.
Class assembly letters have been sent home today. Our class assembly is on Wednesday 13th June at 9.15am. We hope to see you there.
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Woodward and Mrs Hall
