Welcome to The Plaza

Friday 21st September

We are really getting in to the swing of the Autumn term now! We have covered so much work already.  This week we have looked at Propaganda Posters and designed our own.

Well done to 5/6 EB who are working well with Google Classroom.  This week homework for 5/6 EB and 5/6 KC/JLB will be on Google Classroom. 5/6 MJ will have their homework books to work on.

Rolling out Google Classroom will be a slow process initially, so we really appreciate your support and encouragement in the is.  We are hoping that all Plaza classes will be up and running fully in the next couple of weeks.

To log on at home your child will need to use the following instructions.

  • Go to Google home page.
  • Type in Google Classroom and click on the first entry that comes up.
  • Find the sign in button and click on it.  (If you have a gmail account already you will need to sign out first.)
  • An email will be sent out with their usernames.  All children know the password.
  • You should now be in Google classroom - follow the on screen instructions,

If your child has difficulty logging in please let their teacher know as soon as possible.

Homework will be given out on Friday and will need to be in on a Tuesday.

Reminders

Year 5 and 6 will have PE on a Tuesday so please ensure your child brings Kit including trainers on that day.

Year 5 pupils will also have a Forest school session on a Tuesday starting 18th September so please ensure that your child also brings in Wellington boots, old trousers or joggers and a water proof coat.

As we are a Healthy School it is important that all children bring in healthy snacks for break time.  Such as fruit, vegetables, crackers and cheese, raisins etc.

Drinks for during the day should be in a clear bottle with water only.

Your child will be coming home with a list of spellings today, please support your child in learning up to 10 of these words per week.  They will have a test on a Friday.  When the children need new spellings, they should let their teacher know.

If you have any queries about anything, please don't hesitate to contact one of the Plaza Team.

Have a great weekend!
