National Reading and Numeracy Tests
In May every child in Wales in Years 2 - 6 will complete Welsh Government tests. The tests consist of a 60 minute reading test, a 30 minute numeracy procedural test and a 30 minute numeracy reasoning test. The total number of pupils on school roll for September 2017 is 317.
The school’s Free School Meal (FSM) population is under 5%.
This is less than the population for the previous year.
The total allocation of Pupil Deprivation Grant (PDG) to this school for April 2017 to April 2018 is £8050
The school undertakes the following activities in order to support pupils facing the challenges of poverty and deprivation:
- Additional staff support for identified groups of pupils
- Focus group support for Literacy and Numeracy
- Focussed individual support for Literacy and Numeracy
- Targeted support for communication, collaboration, group interaction and confidence building
- Purchase of ICT resources.
The school’s PDG, Education Improvement Grant (EIG) and Welsh Effectiveness Grant (WEG) plans are regularly scrutinised by the Governing Body, supported by advice from the Educational Achievement Service (EAS) and monitored by the Local Authority.
